My nursing story
BIO
I graduated from the BSN program at University of Victoria/Aurora College in 2006 and have worked as a Registered Nurse and Clinical Coordinator in many different areas of nursing over the past 12 years.

The majority of my nursing career has been in Canada's north. I grew up in Yellowknife, NT and consider myself a true northerner. In 2008, I moved to Iqaluit and worked at the Qikiqtani Hospital. I have also worked in Alberta at the University of Alberta Hospital but returned to the NWT in 2010.
Over the past few years I have become increasingly interested in my role in nursing leadership. A few years ago, I was given the opportunity to take on the role of Clinical Coordinator for a Dialysis unit and Medical Daycare unit at Stanton Hospital in Yellowknife. I have a 17 month old daughter and after returning to work from maternity leave, I accepted a position as the Manager of Medicine and Outpatient Services, a new challenge for me. I am currently enrolled in the Masters of Nursing program with Athatbasca University.
